| dc.description.abstract | CRY recognises volunteerism as an expression of citizen participation that ranges from acts of giving to demanding change. We offer a platform for citizens with diverse interests, skills and knowledge to engage in action that have direct and indirect impact on child rights. The role of Volunteer Action involves reaching out to the public, recruiting them as volunteers and facilitating initiatives by offering innovative and diverse volunteer engagement options. In 2014-15, CRY worked with over 3,000 volunteers spread across 20 cities and had 270 Internship placements within CRY. | en_US |
